The Public Health Department of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City KS has had a professional association with Propio Language Services for over 15 years. We have been very satisfied with the services provided by Propio throughout that time.
We have a high usage of over-the-phone interpreting services provided by Propio, with Spanish being the most needed language, however, our community has an extensive refugee population and we regularly rely on Propio to provide interpreting for many other languages including Burmese, Hmong, Karen, Nepali, Chin, and others. We log thousands of minutes of usage each month.
We have also used Propio for translation of documents, brochures, and handout materials, and have been very satisfied with Propio’s performance in that area too.
Propio’s customer service has always been friendly and professional. Anytime we have had questions the response from Propio has been immediate and helpful. The invoices are easy to understand and allow for analysis in various categories such as usage per department, by interpreter and requestor, language used, and time of day usage.
Based on our experiences, I recommend Propio Language Services for the translation and interpreting services they provide.

Arabic interpreter number 772, was great! Took his time to explain things to mother and would let me know why it was taking long between their conversations. Would ask to clarify if he did not understand something I said before communicating with mom. He was very patient, sad I did not get a name!
I just wanted to personally write and let you know how much I appreciate the work one of your interpreters, Susan, is doing. I'm a therapist who can dread the interpretation process and she is a delight, overextending and interpreting therapy homework assignments for my client, staying positive, helping with scheduling, and really connecting to my client. She also absolutely connects my client to me in a meaningful way for therapy to occur.
She is of high value to me and I wanted to be sure she gets that accolade passed on. Thank you again so much and also to Susan.
My name is Becky, and I'm a night RN on HC7. I had the pleasure of working with one of your interpreters from Propio this weekend, Jeannette. She was absolutely wonderful! She came to the unit promptly, was pleasant with the staff and the patient, and went above and beyond in her job. A patient transferred to us from another unit, and the transporters didn't bring her chart. When Jeannette came to help us translate our assessment, we realized we didn't have the chart with the stickers in it. Jeannette kindly offered to walk all the way to the other unit (in the other hospital) to retrieve the chart AND bring it back to us. It was much appreciated on a busy shift. The next night, she helped me kindly explain that unaccompanied minors cannot stay on the unit without another adult present to a patient. She has gone above and beyond all weekend, and I wanted to make sure that you and her company, Propio, recognized her for all of her hard work. Thank you!
I just wanted to pass along another compliment regarding your Spanish interpreter Boris. Last week, during one of our Hearing Proceedings, the Hearing Officer (who works for a different Agency than mine) specifically stated during the proceeding that he always appreciated it, when Boris was the interpreter who called in. Thanks, and have a nice day.
