Propio Language Services (Propio), a significant player in the language services market, begins 2022 on track toward another year of record growth. Propio set out to double in size in 2021 and succeeded with a year of pivotal milestones, including new technology development, Propio’s first external funding, executive team expansion, and landing on the Inc. 5000 for the 3rd year in a row.

“Propio continues to expand its capabilities and linguistic network to exceed the expectations of our clients,”

said Marco Assis, Chief Executive Officer at Propio.

Introduced Leading Proprietary Technology Including New App

Propio kicked the year off with the launch of a new proprietary mobile app platform, Propio ONE, which gives users access to over 5,000 interpreters for audio or video. The app offers access to on-demand and scheduled interpretation services at the touch of a button. In addition, the company launched Propio CONNECT, software to improve the interpreter experience, as well as Propio ECHO, software to ensure high interpreter quality. With state-of-the-art technology driving the business, Propio also upgraded its proprietary call routing system to round out its technology advancements for the year.

Record Growth by Acquisition and Investment

In Q2, Propio expanded its footprint into the Ohio market with the acquisition of Vocalink Global, an enterprise language solutions company specializing in document translation and localization as well as in-person interpretation.

Propio ended the year with two more acquisitions, Minnesota-based ARCH and Intelligere, both enterprise language service providers specializing in remote and in-person interpretation. With that acquisition, Propio became the largest language service provider in Minnesota serving the healthcare market.

In one of the most notable events of 2021, Propio partnered with TT Capital Partners, a leading healthcare investor, to accelerate Propio’s next phase of growth and propel innovation.

Added Depth to Leadership Team

Consistent with the company’s growth trajectory and leadership expansion strategy, Propio announced three new executives in the first half of the year. Chris Pesce joined as CFO and Brian Singer as CTO. Pesce joined the organization to oversee all financial operations and reporting of the company, including financial systems integration, FP&A, and internal audit. Singer is accountable for the strategic software and infrastructure direction for the scalability and performance of product offerings. Carson Lattimore joined Propio as vice president of corporate development in mid-2021 to support growth endeavors. Lattimore led the acquisition efforts for both ARCH and Intelligere and will lead integration efforts post-close.

Propio also announced a key leadership change with Joe Samoszenko promoted to Chief Revenue Officer. Samoszenko joined the company in February 2018 and was instrumental in the company’s record-breaking revenue growth in 2021. He will continue to propel the company’s growth as he oversees business development; strategic partnerships; and customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.

Formalized Marketing and Product Departments

2021 marked a pivotal year for Propio’s company operations, as the company formalized its Product and Marketing organization. With a focus on strategic product development, the product team was able to implement a UX Strategy into product workflow and roll out 3 new software platforms to further Propio’s spot as a leading technology company in the language services space. Marketing enhanced client communications and brand awareness by launching a new website, blog and monthly newsletter. In addition, Propio gave back to the community by supporting local charities Kansas School for the Deaf, Harvesters, and Don Bosco.

Propio also added a new Global Recruiting organization, to enable growth and increased demand while ensuring the highest quality of global interpreter talent.
