Closing the Language Gap, Connecting People

Top National Language Service Provider for US Businesses

Built on a Foundation of Service

Propio Language Services founder Joe Fackrell — fluent in Spanish after spending two years in Bolivia — was working as a night auditor in the hospitality industry in the US. In 1998, he was asked to accompany a fellow associate and her husband to their prenatal care appointments, to act as an interpreter. After the appointment, Joe recognized the distinct need for language services in the healthcare industry and presented a proposal to the clinic. The proposal was accepted, making this clinic Propio’s very first client. Within a few months, four major accounts were won. Now, 23 years later, these four original accounts (along with hundreds of new ones) remain faithful to Propio.
